Ken Vance

Breakout Speaker – Session I

Ken Vance is leading a breakout called “Turning a Church Inside Out.”

Breakout Description: How do you lead a good church to becoming a great church? Our host, Pastor Ken Vance, describes the journey of leading Vertical Church to look beyond the familiar and comfortable to engaging with the community and the culture around them. The challenges, pitfalls and satisfactions of moving beyond church to Kingdom engagement.

Breakout Speaker – Session I

Andre Rendeau is leading a breakout called “Responding to the Challenge of LGBT persons and culture.”

Breakout Description: There is little question that sexuality and gender issues present some of the greatest challenges facing the orthodox and evangelical church in our time. The team of Wintonbury Church in Bloomfield share their journey of leading their congregation in a journey of being faithful to the biblical call to speak the truth in the love of God, while reaching out to a culture steeped in sexual attitudes and behaviors that are far from the Bible’s standards.

Leroy Casey is leading a breakout called “Responding to the Challenge of LGBT persons and culture.”

Breakout Speaker – Session I & II

Annmarie Boulay is leading a breakout called “Responding to the Challenge of LGBT persons and culture” as well as a breakout during Session II called, “When Evil Breaks Out in My Neighborhood.”

Session 1 Description:There is little question that sexuality and gender issues present some of the greatest challenges facing the orthodox and evangelical church in our time. The team of Wintonbury Church in Bloomfield share their journey of leading their congregation in a journey of being faithful to the biblical call to speak the truth in the love of God, while reaching out to a culture steeped in sexual attitudes and behaviors that are far from the Bible’s standards.

Session 2 Description:Two extraordinary leaders describe their journeys of responding to eruptions of evil in their communities. “Sandy Hook” and the “Berlin Turnpike” are known nationally – one for a school shooting tragedy, the other as an infamous hub of the sex-trade. This Question and Answer panel follows the morning plenary session.

Breakout Speaker – Session I

Howard Renker & Team are co-leading a breakout with Justin Kendrick called “Partnering Together to See Our Cities Reached.”

Breakout Description: A panel of pastors and ministry leaders from Bristol and New Haven share their journeys of building relational unity and seeking a shared vision to reach their communities. What hurdles need to be overcome? What helps to create and sustain momentum for a shared vision? Why is it worth the effort?

Breakout Speaker – Session I

Justin Kendrick is co-leading a breakout with Howard Renker & his team called “Partnering Together to See Our Cities Reached.”

Breakout Description: A panel of pastors and ministry leaders from Bristol and New Haven share their journeys of building relational unity and seeking a shared vision to reach their communities. Jeremy Taylor is leading a breakout called, “Serving Your Community.”

Breakout Description: Learn how two people with a passion to impact their community started a non-profit organization that now served 100 students and adults each week with 75+ volunteers. They will share their struggles, mistakes and successes from the last seven years and inspire you to start something in your own community.


Bob Niedermeier

Breakout Speaker – Session I

Bob Niedermeier is leading a breakout called, “Serving Your Community.”

Breakout Description: Learn how two people with a passion to impact their community started a non-profit organization that now served 100 students and adults each week with 75+ volunteers. They will share their struggles, mistakes and successes from the last seven years and inspire you to start something in your own community.

Seth Poston is leading a breakout called, “Supporting Effective Ministry Through Administration.”

Breakout Description: In many cases the vision suffers from a lack of administrative grace, or the transmission of vision to sustained ministry. Has the church and its mission suffered by our own judgments against the importance of the administrative grace or “systems leadership.” Three gifted Kingdom leaders share their vision for seeing the Kingdom advance through administrative vision in action. This panel discussion will be moderated by Tori Rowe.


Adam DePasquale

Breakout Speaker – Session I & 2

Tim Ponzani is leading a breakout called, “Building High Impact Teams.”

Breakout Description: How to transform a group of diverse individuals into a team that has mission impact. How staff challenges can become team victories. The formation and building of teams is vitally important in accomplishing God’s redemptive work and in sustaining ministry growth and momentum.


Mike Henderson

Breakout Speaker – Session II

Mike Henderson is co-leading a breakout during session II with Pastor Wesley Zinn called, “Crisis/Opportunity – The Ministry of Disaster and Crisis Response.”

Breakout Description: As believers in Christ we are called to lay down our lives for the sake of others and to witness the love of Christ to our neighbors. This can be difficult in a society that is increasingly hostile to the church. However, Disaster Response is a powerful way to provide love and help in times of trauma and despair. It opens doors for the love of God and the gospel to reach a broken and needy world.

How do you actually get started on the path to making the dream a reality? Pitfalls and traps to avoid. Trials and challenges to overcome. How to deal with discouragement along the way and keep going. This session is a testimony of lessons learned from vision to launch and will benefit those pursuing their own destiny in the kingdom of God.

Ed Tuttle is co-leading a breakout during session II with Christ Otto called, “Reclaiming the Arts and Artists for the Kingdom.”

Breakout Description: Are beauty and creativity essential to the Kingdom? What role do the arts play in the transformation agenda? Several centuries of misunderstanding have led to a deep divide between the creative person and the Body of Christ that is contrary to God’s desire and design. We will learn about ways to honor, challenge and spur one another on to live, work and create in community.


Christ Otto

Breakout Speaker – Session II

Christ Otto is co-leading a breakout during session II with Ed Tuttle called, “Reclaiming the Arts and Artists for the Kingdom.”

Eliezer Perez is leading a breakout during session II called, “Building Partnerships – Touching Church and Community.”

Breakout Description: THP, The Hartford Project, has been an ongoing expression of Kingdom cooperation for years in the Greater Hartford area. How a coalition of youth ministries has engineered an annual short-term mission trip to our capital city and built a vision for Kingdom unity and community transformation. And how lives have been changed along the way.


Breyonne Golding & Team

Breakout Speaker – Session II

Breyonne Golding and team are leading a breakout during session II called, “Calling Millennials to Kingdom Engagement.”

Breakout Description: A Kingdom leader from her generation describes her own journey in calling Millennials to embrace and live out a Kingdom vision. What engages this generation? What are cultural obstacles to the Kingdom within this generation? How can the generations learn from one another and “spur one another on toward love and good deeds”?
