What is 10 Days?
10 Days is an annual opportunity during the fall feasts for the Body of Christ to step away from normal routines and enter into an extended time of experiencing God together through worship, prayer, fasting, repentance and fellowship. It’s a way for all the believers in your city to unite with Jesus at the center. It’s rooted in the 10 Days between the biblical Feasts of Trumpets (Rosh Hashanah) and the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur), also known as the 10 Days of Awe. 10 Days is intended to be part of the answer to Jesus’ prayer in John 17:21: “Let them be one as we are one.” If you want more of a flavor of what happened last year, visit Impact Connecticut’s Facebook Page. We had over 50 events around the state honoring the call and wooing of our Lord!
What are we aiming to accomplish?
- Personal maturity, repentance, renewal and transformation – to get Babylon out of us!
- Unify the Church & step into the “forever” blueprints Jesus has for us
- Intercession for:
a. Gospel to go out
b. Outpouring of the Holy Spirit
c. Salvation of the Jews
d. Connecticut (identificational repentance)
- Longing, preparing, praying for Jesus’ return
What are some of the events planned for this year?
Since our first 10 Days Summit in June we have been working diligently to coordinate a calendar of 10 Days events across Connecticut, highlighted by the evening united nights of worship.
In addition, we have several regional expressions of 10 Days which will have a variety of prayer for the whole of 10 Days, either in one location or several. Those include:
Hartford 10 Days – Audrey McIntyre, Hartford House of Prayer
Bridgeport 10 Days – Luis Burgos, City Wide Church Bridgeport
Potter’s House 10 Days – Maja Cederberg, Covenant Church of Thomaston
Is it too late to host a 10 Days event this year?
It’s never too late! If you have an inspiration for a 10 Days event, attend the Summit II meeting on the 21st and/or drop us a line so we can hear from you. While the state-wide united nights of worship event calendar is set, we are especially looking for additional citywide/regional/local 10 Days expressions in a fashion similar to Hartford and Bridgeport. 10 Days is “open architecture”, so let us know of your dream or inspiration!
Who’s invited?
Feel free to send a delegate if you cannot make the meeting. Also, feel free to forward this invite to whomever you think would like to participate in 10 Days this fall.
Hope you can join us September 21st, 11am @Wellspring !
In Jesus,
Gregg Healey and Rick McKinniss
